It’s that time of year again for Bristol to look to the skies as Bristol Balloon Fiesta kicks off! This then also means our resident balloonist Georgie has a busy weekend of early mornings and late nights crewing and chasing balloons ahead of her! Weather permitting of course. As well as mass ascents, midday tethering and night glows, this year the fiesta is also hosting the nationals. This means during the Fiesta, on Saturday, and Sunday morning the competing teams will be tasked with flying over Ashton Court Estate coming in low, dropping a marker (streamer) before flying off again – an incredible opportunity for visitors to witness the incredible skill of these pilots. Good luck to all the teams involved!
