Home Working

A letter to Stuff Colleagues and Clients re: home working.

17th March 2020

Dear all,

Given the latest Government updates surrounding Coronavirus yesterday, we will now be moving to the next phase of how we all work together. Our immediate priority is our colleague’s wellbeing and doing what we can to reduce the impact of the virus. The next is then ensuring we continue to work together and serve our clients.

Thus, from close of play tonight (17th March), we will be moving to a policy of Managed Remote Working. Under Managed Remote Working all day to day work will continue but with Creative and Client service teams based at home. But our office will remain open (subject to continued government policy) as there may be some functions that need to be carried out in the office, and the senior Stuff team will work with staff and clients to determine how best to cover what needs to be done.

There will also be restrictions on business travel. For those clients who may have a meeting or workshop in the diary the relevant person at Stuff will be in contact to discuss arrangements on a case by case basis, but video/phone conferencing is now the preference and especially for higher risk groups who will remain at home.

It is also hugely important to state that, as a company, Stuff remains open for business and will do all it can to work around the challenges to come. This may mean more drawn out communication than normal or smaller changes such as copying many more people in to emails to ensure communication. It may also mean we need to look at new ways to solve marketing and communication problems for our clients which is a challenge Stuff welcomes. In summary, Stuff will continue to meet our responsibilities to clients and aim to operate as effectively as possible and we will continue to encourage new projects from our clients and aim to attract new business.

I know the next few months will be tough on all of us, colleagues and clients alike, and working remotely has its own set of challenges, but I have every confidence in all our abilities to come through this situation together.

Of course, I would like to thank all colleagues for their continued dedication and all of Stuff’s clients who are supporting our business at this time; we welcome your work.

If you have any queries, please contact the appropriate person at Stuff where I suggest direct contact via mobiles and emails is best.

Finally, may I take this opportunity to wish you all good health at this time.

With best regards,

Jonnie Galvin-Wright
