YTL Developments UK, has re-appointed Bristol based creative agency Stuff to bring Brabazon – the new neighbourhood on the site of the historic former Filton Airfield – to market.
Named after the iconic aircraft and the hangars located on this historic local landmark site of over 380 acres, Brabazon will become a thriving new neighbourhood, with over 2,600 homes, 52,000sq ft of retail space and 62 acres of creative workspaces, all set in landscaped public squares and parkland. In total, over £100 million is also being invested to improve local infrastructure with a new railway station, metro bus route, cycle paths and walking routes.
YTL Developments wanted a dedicated UK creative agency for this new work and, following an original pitch in 2020 involving London and South West based agencies, Stuff were appointed and then subsequently re-appointed this year.
Jonnie Galvin-Wright, Owner & CEO at Stuff says,
“With a heritage in great brands but also specifically in property and development marketing, we knew we could add our expertise and value to this project. We were delighted when we were appointed as this is such a step-change for mixed-use, masterplanned developments in the South West and in the UK generally. We look forward to creatively bringing that vision alive. To also win this work against good competition, and originally when the UK was in full lockdown, also showed what a brilliant team we have here.”
Jon McDiarmid, Marketing & Sales Director at YTL Developments (UK) said,
“Over the next 20 years, the historic former Filton Airfield is set to be transformed into the most exciting new city district in the South West. We needed a team with wide horizons to articulate the breadth of our vision for Brabazon, but with the local understanding to ensure it resonates with a community that is rightly proud of the former Airfield’s amazing aviation heritage. Following an original very strong pitch process, we’re delighted to be working with Stuff at Brabazon.”
